New Street Baptist Church-30 August 2020

Welcome to the last session of ‘Walking into Church’ with Pastor Richard Williams and prayer and worship led by Simon Cooper. Next week Richard will be starting a new series in Matthews gospel.

Prayer
Lord we thank you that you are our strength and you never leave us.
We thank you that you were with us over lockdown and continue to comfort us.
We thank you for all those things that you’ve helped us with.
We look to the future Lord and ask that you’ll give us wisdom as we move forward.
We ask that you’ll be our focus moving on this year and that you’ll use us for your glory.
Amen

Psalm 102: 25–28
25 Of old you laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.
26 They will perish, but you will remain; they will all wear out like a garment. You will change them like a robe, and they will pass away,
27 but you are the same, and your years have no end.
28 The children of your servants shall dwell secure; their offspring shall be established before you.

Sharing

  • Thinking about God being faithful and with us, what changes are you facing in the future?

The children in the church are all thinking about going back to school in the next few weeks. This can be a daunting time but it’s really encouraging to know that our God is with us and will go through those times with us.

  • Do you have any worries or concerns that you can bring before God?

Maybe ask someone at church to pray for you if you’re going through any issues, worries or concerns?

Please watch the following message from Pastor Richard for session five of ‘Walking into Church’.

We thank you for reading, contributing and worshiping with us today and look forward to seeing you again soon.
